She was predeceased by : her parents, Johnnie Boyce Baker, Jr. and Johnsie Trexler Baker; her grandson Hampton Tucker Flake; and her brother Boyce Allen Baker. She is survived by : her children, Jeania Flake Martin (Linc) of Ansonville, Michael John Flake of Wadesboro and Christy Rose Flake of Wadesboro; the parent of her children Eddie Flake of Wadesboro; her grandchildren, Walt Martin and Jack Martin; her brother Kenny Baker (Margaret) of Florence, SC; her sister-in-law Susie Flake Bonds (Bobby) of Mt. Pleasant; her niece Marney Baker Boatwright (Butch) of Florence, SC; her nephew Cal Baker (Tamala) of Myrtle Beach, SC; and her granddaughter Tucker Rose.

It was Brenda's request that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to First Baptist Church, Blessings in a Bookbag Ministry, PO Box 423, Wadesboro, NC 28170.
