With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Helen Brooks Mathis (Apex, North Carolina), born in Newport, Tennessee, who passed away on September 2, 2021 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Laski Brooks and Mary Brooks; and her sister Ida Ruth Davis. She is survived by : her husband Maurice Mathis; her children, Teresa Ellis (Norm), Timothy, Matthew and Peter; her great grandchildren, Harriett Mathis and Lynn Eskridge; and also, Tyler, Cody Riley, Kailyn and Kari.
