She is survived by : her parents, Fred Olshan and Barbara Olshan (Konikoff); her husband Frank Mongone; her daughters, Gianna, Camryn and Brooklyn; and her siblings, David and Cara.

A fourth-grade teacher at Scotts Ridge Elementary School, Merri's selfless nature made her beloved by her students and colleagues alike, who stood fiercely by her side during her battle with COVID.
