He was predeceased by : his parents, Bruce Lewis Sr. and Viola Frances Brigman; and his siblings, Catherine Triplett, Sharon Bumgarner, David Lewis and Kenneth Lewis.

He is survived by : his children, Carrie Gooden, Hannah Lewis and Jason; his daughter-in-law Jenita Stafford; his grandchildren, Kristi Wetherspoon, Gracie Hampton, Megan Rash, Jesse Rash, Jessa May Stafford, Samantha Gooden and Dalton Gooden; and the mother of his children Sharon Stafford. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
