He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Lee and Nina Nance Gallimore; his wife Edna Louise Gallimore; and his siblings, Anne Speas, Clarence and Lloyd Gallimore.

He is survived by: his cousins, Herman Dunning and Dalton Kennedy; his children, Michael Gallimore of Archdale and Debra Willard of High Point; and his sister Evelyn Edwards of Chesterfield, Virginia..
