He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lacy Strider and Effie Mae Graves Strider; his wife Jean Frye Strider; his son Duane Strider; his sister Lena Mae Strider Baker; his daughter Elizabeth Nance (Clinton Nance) of Asheboro; his granddaughters, Magan Kale (Sean Kale) of Asheboro and Jessica McDonald (Rodney McDonald) of Cameron; his great grandchildren, Blake, Ryleigh, MacKenzie and Easton; and his siblings, Ray Strider (Phyllis Strider) of Matthews, Lee Strider (Kathy Strider) of Goldsboro and Betty Cross of Asheboro.
