He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, George Banta and Alene Hyles Banta; his wife Pam Morisette Banta; his children, Patty Banta of Asheboro and Jimmy Banta of Kernersville; his grandchildren, Kailee Davis of Charlotte and Lucas Banta of Kernersville; and his siblings, Riley Banta (Carolyn) of Texas, John Banta (Cynthia) of Texas, Marjorie Rudolph of Texas, Reba Johnson (Ray) of Texas, Ruth Zschiesche (Will) of Texas and Nancy Banta of Texas.
