He is survived by: his children, Collin Boettcher of Asheboro and Caitlin Wallace (Nick) of Seagrove; his mother Florence Staley Boettcher of Coleridge; and his sister Vickie Spivey (Bryan) of Julian. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
