It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Cox of Asheboro, North Carolina, born in Staley, North Carolina, who passed away on May 9, 2021, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband James Ray Cox; her parents, William Henry Wright, Sr. and Dessie Gunter Wright; and her siblings, Buford Wright, Clarence Wright, Edward Wright, Eunice Wright Phillippie and Henry Wright, Jr..
She is survived by: her daughters, Kaye Swaim (Joe) of Reidsville, Phyllis Rogers (David) of Statesville and Greta Gail McDowell (Doug) of Leland; her grandchildren, Heath Swaim, Julie Wagoner (Jeremy), Shelley Rogers (Vincent Toups), Ashley Jimenez (Alex) and Carly Zimmerman (Tony); her great grandchildren, Mya, Ryder, Kason, Camila, James, Felix and Zoey; her sisters, Eva Beal (Ray) and Treva Davis (Clyde); and her siblings-in-law, Rachel Davis, Irene Surratt, Wayne Cox (Delores) and Margaret Ester.
