It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirleen Mayberry Cockman (Asheboro, North Carolina), who passed away on February 11, 2019, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Lee and Effie Cornelia Laughlin Mayberry; her husband Colon Cockman; her children, Neely Wade Gray and Paul Henry Brooks; her sister Eloise Hunt; and her stepsiblings, Girlene McGill, Evelyn Bradshaw and Brooks Houtchings.
She is survived by: her children, Danny Wade Gray (Debbie) of Asheboro, Darrell Wayne Gray (Elyse) of Orlando, FL, Donald Wilson Gray (Cathy) of Greensboro, Lisa Ann Brooks Welch (Clayton) of Randleman and Lori Ann Brooks Beasley (Craig) of Asheboro. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren.
