Anthony Burnette Higgins Obituary
We are sad to announce that on March 31, 2021, at the age of 69, Anthony Burnette Higgins of Asheville, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Red Higgins and Annis Higgins; his children, Matthew and Melanie Higgins; and his wife Frances Higgins.
He is survived by: his children, Candice Willis (Thomas) of Kannapolis, Jason Higgins (Becky) of Marion, Lorey Taylor (Phillip) of Asheville and Mandy Higgins of Lawrenceville, Georgia; his aunts, Wanda Melton of Asheville, Ruth Melton of Asheville and Wiloree Epley of Asheville; his cousin Veheda Fuller of Pisgah Forest; his close friend Jerry Harper; and his friend Nichole Wells. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Western North Carolina Nature Center in honor of his grandchildren, Olivia Quinn Taylor, Merritt Taylor, and Emily Willis.
