Scott (Ben), Gladys S. Payne (Roby), Margaret S. Hanssen (Paul), Essie S. Nichols (Dean), Charlotte S. McElrath (Lester), Jack E. Smathers (Marie) and Dorothy S. Freeman (Jack).
He is survived by: his wife Thelma Payne; his sons, Clifford Samuel Smathers (Sam) and Brian Smathers (Maureen); his grandsons, Tyler Smathers (Taylor), Josh Smathers (Lindsey) and Zack Smathers; his great grandchildren, Jacob, Molly Rose Smathers, Millie Martin and Connor Proveaux; and his sister Elizabeth Johnson (Bob). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
