He was predeceased by : his parents, John Tinsley and Ruth Bates Tinsley; his wife Barbara Smith Tinsley; and his sons, Kevin and Chris Tinsley.
He is survived by : his daughter Kelli Tinsley of Asheville; his siblings, Rick Tinsley of Asheville, Doug Tinsley (June) of Edneyville, NC, Mandy Bates of Fairview and Cathy Tinsley of Asheville; his granddaughter Sara Ballew of Arden; and his niece Lisa Ballew of Canton.
