James E. McGee III Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 22, 2018, at the age of 71, James E. McGee III (Asheville, North Carolina), born in Durham, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James E. McGee, Jr. and Jane Liesfeld McGee; and his son James E. McGee, IV. He is survived by: his wife Mary Harrell McGee; his son Charles Eugene McGee; his daughter-in-law Katherine Swartzel McGee; his grandchildren, Mariella Rose McGee and Graham Eldridge McGee; and his sisters, Dell McGee Leist and Anne McGee Hedges. He is also survived by wife, sons, and grandchildren.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the McGee Family Undergraduate Research Fund at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill through give.unc.edu, or the Trinity Episcopal Church Legacy Fund, 60 Church Street, Asheville, NC 28801.
