He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James "Red" Edward Chapman of Bethlehem, NC and Mary Josephine Chapman (Haney) of Asheville, NC.; his wife Joyce Lee Cummings; his daughters, Revonda Kelly of Fletcher, NC and Kay Ryder (Ken) of Broadway, NC.; his grandchildren, Amber McFee (Mark), Tia Kelly, Shannon Boguess (A. J.), David Ryder and Zack Ryder; his great grandchildren, Jake and Jase; his siblings, Mary "Sissy" Warren (Philip) of Columbia, SC, Jane West (Keith) of Fines Creek, NC, Robert Chapman of Asheville, NC, William Chapman of Michigan and James "Curly" Chapman; and his nephew Matthew Valentine Chapman. He was also cherished by his many nieces and nephews.
