She was predeceased by : her parents, Lefferts "Dood" Higdon and Ila Elliott Higdon; her husband Richard Zane Myers; and her brother Milton Lee Higdon. She is survived by : her children, Dr. Kimberly Myers (Jim Thomas) and Kevin Myers (Veresa); and her grandchildren, Brayden Zane Myers and Kyndal Gray Myers.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the West Asheville Baptist Church (926 Haywood Rd, Asheville, NC 28806). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
