The memory of Michael Hunter (Asheville, North Carolina), who passed away on August 2, 2025 at the age of 35, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Michael may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He is survived by: his parents, William "Willie" Michael Hunter and Kathleen Fae Hunter (Ranfeld); his siblings, Kimberly Hunter, Jonathan Hunter and Rachel Gotchey (Seth); and his niece Leah Gotchey. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Anders-Rice Funeral Home (1428 Patton Ave, Asheville, NC 28806). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at 12 Old Charlotte Hwy #200, Asheville, NC 28803.
In lieu of flowers and in honor of Michael's volunteerism and beloved pitbull Kaiser, donations may be made to Asheville's Brother Wolf Animal Rescue.
