It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Paul Grooms (Asheville, North Carolina), who passed away on July 16, 2023, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Manson George Grooms and Mildred Louisa Webb Grooms; and his brother Doyle Grooms. He is survived by: his daughter Rebecca Grooms Allen; his son-in-law Danny Allen (Jennifer Grooms) of Marion; his grandchildren, Miranda Cope (Austin) of Marion, Tyler Grooms, Dillon Patton of Asheville and Hunter Allen of Marion; his great grandchild Carson Cope of Marion; and his siblings, George Grooms Jr. (Jeannette) of Asheville, Judy Lunsford of Asheville, Don Grooms (Gail) of Weaverville, Melinda Dover (J. L.) of Asheville and David Grooms of Leicester. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
