She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Clinton Smith and Bessie Smith; her brother Jack Smith; her great grandchild Adley Gerhardt; her husband Joe Stevens; her children, Danny Stevens, Penny Stevens, Diana Pegg and Howell Pegg; her grandchildren, Shelley Stevens, Lindsey Gerhardt (Drew), Brian Pegg (Shelby) and Michael Pegg; her great grandchildren, Jaden, Asher and Kamden; her siblings, Ronnie Smith (Dorothy), Bobby Smith (Sharon), Marlene Weaver, Linda Brooks (Mack) and Ruby Wolfe (Earl); and her sister-in-law Betty Smith. She was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
