He was predeceased by: his parents, Sherman W. Young, Sr. and Lucinda T. Francis Young; and his sister Cordelia Young Pickens. He is survived by: his wife Connie Hicks Young; his sons, Lincoln Young (Martha) and Mitchell Young (Dionne); his grandchildren, Tucker, Titus and Maddox; and his brother Harold Young (Betty).
