He was predeceased by: his mother Betty Grace Roberts Banks; and his nephew Richard Riddle. He is survived by: his father Troy J. Banks; his wife Jo Ann Riddle Banks; his daughters, Christy McCary (Rob) and Kelly Banks; his grandchildren, Brittany Whitlock, Brandon Boone and Emily McCary; his great grandchildren, Natalee Boone and Tyler Whitlock; his sisters, Sandra Banks Koontz (Dan) and Elaine Ingle (David); and his nephew Peter Koontz. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Flowers are acceptable and appreciated or memorials may be made to GracePoint Church with the designation for: Adult Disability Activities Ministry (A.D.A.M) on the memo line, 50 Woodland Hills Road, Asheville, NC 28804.
