The memory of Wanda Oliver Elkins of Asheville, North Carolina, who passed away on May 23, 2025 at the age of 79, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Oliver and Rosa Lee Oliver; and her brothers, Raymond Oliver and Bobby Oliver. She is survived by: her husband Joe; her children, Jolene (John) and Scott (Jennifer); her grandchildren, Cherie Grindstaff (Chuck), Crystal Hooper (Nicholas), Ian Elkins, Rosalee Elkins and Adalai Elkins; her great grandchildren, Jasmine Larey (Trevor), Calvin, Jordan, Alise, Aidan and Anthony; her sister Brenda Payne (Ray); and her sisters-in-law, Peggy Oliver and Connie Oliver. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 30th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Groce Funeral Home - Patton Ave. (1401 Patton Ave, Asheville, NC 28806). A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 30th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, May 30th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Green Hills Cemetery (25 New Leicester Hwy, Asheville, NC 28806).
