He was predeceased by : his wife Amy Thorne; his parents, Dewey Thorne and Dorothy Adams Thorne; and his siblings, Janice Brock, Dwight Thorne and Merle Thorne.

He is survived by : his daughters, Shannon Phelps, April Thorne and Marcy Brewer; his grandchildren, Alivia Jones, Cody Bass and Ryan Bass; his great grandchild Xyliana Grace Jones; and his sister Carmen Jones.
