He is survived by : his children, Chucky Woody and Sherry Dixon of Bakersville; his former life partner Sue Woody of Bakersville; his brothers, Delaney Woody (Cleo) of Spruce Pine, NC, Bruce Woody (Sally) of Bakersville and Mike Woody (Belinda) of Burnsville, NC; his grandsons, Briley Dixon, Ethan Dixon and Joshua Dixon of Sioux City, IA; his great grandchildren, Ivy and Mya Dixon; and his close friend Joyce Guinn. He is also survived by numerous cousins and many friends. and numerous nieces, nephews.
