She was predeceased by: her parents, Mae Senter Matthews and Cyrus Myron Matthews; her husband Charles Daniel Burnette, Jr.; and her siblings, James Myron Matthews, Charles David Matthews and Jean Matthews Mitchell.
She is survived by: her daughters, Debbie Carr (Lee) of Beaufort and Jean Ann Woodard (Rick) of Topsail Beach; her grandchildren, Carver Wilson (Christopher), Patrick Woodard (Laura), Cameron Thornton (Caleb) and Tyler Barnhill (Taylor); her great grandchildren, Charlie, Griffin, Cooper Wilson, Palmer, CharlesAnna, David Woodard, Eliza Carr, Sadie Thornton, Scottie and Grady Barnhill; and her nephews, Douglas and David Matthews.
