She was predeceased by: her parents, William M. Smith, Sr. and Anna E. Smith; her husband Jarvis Herring, Sr.; her brother William M. Smith, Jr.; and her daughter-in-law Diana B. Herring.
She is survived by: her sons, Jarvis Herring Jr. of Berlin and Germany (Tom Herring); her grandchildren, Christie Shrader of London, KY and Josh Herring (Heather) of Orlando, FL; and her great grandchildren, Drew, Rainey of Orlando, FL, Caroline and Lydia of London, KY. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent in her name to Ann Street United Methodist Church, 417 Ann Street, Beaufort, NC 28516.
