It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karen Jean Brett (Beech Mountain, North Carolina), born in Hamlet, North Carolina, who passed away on May 23, 2020, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Irene Hardeman and Herbert Brannen; and her brother Jonathan Brannen. She is survived by: her husband Dewey "Cyclone" Brett; her sons, Forest Brett (Army Veteran) and Randy Brett (Marine Veteran); her siblings, Julia Anderson (Colon) of Sebring, FL and Michael Brannen (Glenda) of Sebring, FL; and her grandson Christian Brett of Jacksonville, FL.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made to Feeding Avery Families or State Employees Credit Union Harbor House for Cancer Families in Winston Salem.
