She was predeceased by: her parents, George Frank Vaught and Bertha Mildred Holleman Vaught; her husband Franklin Turner Widenhouse; and her siblings, Butch Vaught and Janey Chambers.
She is survived by: her sons, Derek (Lydia Widenhouse), Kurt (Joan Widenhouse) and Brett (Kathy Widenhouse); her grandchildren, Franklin Widenhouse (Jordan), Janet Widenhouse, Matthew Johnson (Jennifer), Britta Anderson and Kurt C. Widenhouse; her great grandchildren, Benson Anderson, Bailey Anderson, Elijah Widenhouse and Josie Widenhouse; and her sisters, Nancy Brown of Wilmington, NC and Frankie Teague of Clemmons, NC.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church of Belmont (807 S Point Rd, Belmont, NC 28012). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church in Belmont or Carolina Caring Hospice.
