He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Lacy and Betty Stone Evans; his wife Vera Vaughan Evans; his son Victor Evans; his grandchildren, Donnie and Daniel Parker; and his siblings, Mussette Hawkins, Gloria Matthews, Shirley Holland, Verna Wilburn, Elizabeth Evans, Tom Evans and Eugene Evans.
He is survived by: his children, Sheila E. Rouse (Dan) of Apex and Scott Evans of Benson; his daughter-in-law Susan Evans of Benson; his grandchildren, Melissa Austin (Shane), Wesley Evans and Danny Parker; his great grandchildren, Madelyn and Tucker Austin; his siblings, Thurma Stephenson of Benson and Billy Evans of Richmond, VA; and his close friend Pat Byrd of Smithfield. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
