It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorarene Beasley Bass (Benson, North Carolina), who passed away on March 25, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Rovalton Beasley and Hattie McLamb Beasley; her husbands, Corbett Beasley and Henry Bass; and her siblings, Doris Morgan and Valton Beasley.
She is survived by: her sons, Jimmy Beasley (Lou Ann) of Angier and Mike Bass (Karen) of Four Oaks; her grandchildren, Megan Gurkin (Walt), Sarah Bass and Morgan Bass; her great grandchildren, Grayson Gurkin and Grady Gurkin; her sister Florene Johnson of Dunn; her stepbrother Z. M. Johnson of Pikeville; and her friend Melba Butler.
