It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frances Dew Whittington of Benson, North Carolina, who passed away on August 17, 2021, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her father Frank; her grandmother Fly Dew; her husband Herbert Hector Whittington; her son-in-law John Allen; her daughter Patricia W. Allen; her grandchildren, Jenna Allen and Barrett Allen (Nikkie); and her great grandchildren, Noah Garrett Evenson, Brooke Elizabeth Evenson and Grayden Rose Allen.
The family will receive friends following the graveside service on Saturday at the cemetery. In accordance with NC-COVID-19 guidelines, the funeral home suggests practicing social distancing and the three W's: wait, wash, and wear a face covering.
