It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Peggy Thornton Lassiter (Benson, North Carolina), who passed away on October 31, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack Thornton and Mildred Benson Thornton; her husband Paul Benjamin Lassiter; her son Dennis Paul Lassiter; her grandson Chad Benjamin Creech; and her brothers, Marshall Thornton, Bobby Thornton and Jerry Thornton.
She is survived by: her daughter Ruth L. Creech (Kenneth) of Benson; her daughter-in-law Mary Ann Lassiter of Angier; her grandchildren, D. Keith Lassiter (Angie), Stephanie R. Davis and Shannon A. Creech (Dorene); her sister Frances Busby (Bob) of Smithfield; and her sister-in-law Eunice Weaver (Jay) of Smithfield.
Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to Benson Grove Baptist Church, 6966 Hwy 50 North Benson, NC 27504.
