It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Valton Beasley of Benson, North Carolina, who passed away on August 14, 2021, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Rovalton Johnson and Hattie McLamb Beasley Johnson; his wife Rebecca "Becky" Smith Beasley; and his sister Doris Lee Morgan. He is survived by: his sisters, Dorarene Bass of Benson and Florine Johnson of Dunn; and his stepbrother Z. M. Johnson of Pikesville. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
