Walter Haywood Stancil Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter Haywood Stancil (Benson, North Carolina), who passed away on November 15, 2021, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John William and Lessie Barefoot Stancil; his wife Grace Johnson Stancil; and his siblings, Ruth Stancil, Myrtle Stancil Young, James Stancil, Osbert Stancil, Lee Stancil, David Stancil, Robert Stancil and Olin Stancil.
He is survived by: his sons, Johnny Stancil (Karen) of Benson, Kenneth Stancil (Lori) of Willow Spring and Mark Stancil (Debbie) of Knightdale; his grandson John William Stancil of Wilmington; his sister Mary Lee of Newton Grove; his sister-in-law Laynell Stancil of Benson; and his close friend Sandra Hobbs of Willow Spring.
