Betty Mae Rayfield Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Betty Mae Rayfield of Bessemer City, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 4, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Betty may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Betty touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Manuel Lee Bridges and Etta Mae Bridges; her husband Russell Hobson Rayfield, Sr.; and her brothers, Joe Bridges of Bessemer City and Floyd Bridges of Kings Mountain. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Long Creek Presbyterian Church (701 Long Creek Rd, Bessemer City, NC 28086). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at the Long Creek Presbyterian Church Cemetery (701 Long Creek Rd, Bessemer City, NC 28086).
