He was predeceased by: his father Larry Patton Birt. He is survived by: his mother Janice Whitten Birt; his son Michael Alexander Birt; his stepdaughters, Amber Hamilton (Billy Pilkin) and Jessica Etters (Justin); and his sister Kristi Morrow (Bruce). He is also survived by five grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the Cornerstone Baptist Church (4357 W Dixon Blvd, Shelby, NC 28152).
