He is survived by: his wife Vera Ball; his children, Lonnie Ball, Joseph H. Ball, Jr. (Lisa), William "Marty" Ball, Shirley Ball Jackson, Linda Ball Pullen (Bryan), Barbara Ball Carroll (Robert) and Angie Goebel; his brother Jack Ball (Pat); and his grandchildren, Melissa Simonds (Jason), Jerry Jackson, Heather Nicole Bryant, Barbara Ball, Jamie Haygood, Jonathan Haygood (Ashley), Jason Haygood (Natasha), Bambi Jenkins (Tony), Jordan Ball (Shyanne), Joshua Ball, Jesse Ball, David Hester (Kenna), Michael Wilson (LaDonna), Jessica Pullen, Erica Pullen, McKenzie Pullen, Cody Hensley (Ashley), Hunter Carroll, Amber Carroll (Jay), Megan Hall (Alex) and Matthew Grigg (Carla). He is also survived by 35 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the Sisk-Butler Funeral Home (730 Gastonia Hwy, Bessemer City, NC 28016). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
