He was predeceased by: his mother Mary Ellen Thigpen of Beulaville, NC.. He is survived by: his wife Donna S. Thigpen; his son Stephen S. Thigpen; his daughter-in-law Theresa Houston Thigpen; his daughter Kendra T. Metts; his son-in-law Nick Metts; his siblings, Lonnie Thigpen and Ada Brown (Doug Brown); and his grandchildren, Jonathon Williams, Donald Williams, Zachary Jones, Evan Thigpen (Maddie) and Janna Thigpen. He is also survived by two step-grandchildren, four step-great grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter.
