With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sue Thigpen (Beulaville, North Carolina), who passed away on September 10, 2018 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Noah Holton and Essie Creel Ham; and her son Michael Ray Benson. She is survived by: her husband Malcolm Earl Thigpen; her daughters, Deborah Gail Stallings (Paul) and Melissa Benson Mitchell (Frank); her stepdaughter Tammy Thigpen; her son Dwight Allen Benson (Rita); her grandchildren, Shannon Denise Beaman (Lee), Franklin and Mitchell, II; her wife Amanda; her stepgrandchildren, Candice Chambers and Nolan Outlaw; her great grandchildren, Kelsi Swinson, Annagail Mitchell and Jaymi Benson; her sister Martha Jane Simpkins; Matthew Blake Benson (Sheri) and Travis David Benson (Amanda).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
