He was predeceased by: his parents, Doris Waller Madkins and Posey E. Turner. He is survived by: his wife Myra Jean Turner; his sons, Ronald R. Turner (Michelle) of Graham, NC, Tommy L. Turner of Beulaville, NC and Robert A. Turner (Tom Curley) of Wilmington, NC; and his siblings, Carla Walker Turner of Lawsonville, NC, Judy Bradshaw of Elon, NC and William Bob Saunders of Gibsonville, NC. He is also survived by 6 Grandchildren and 11 Great-grandchildren.
