He was predeceased by : his parents, Joe Eddie Gambrell, Sr. and Margaret Ann Ferrell Gambrell; and his siblings, Sylvia Gambrell Stoner, Joyce Gambrell Peterson and Robert Gambrell.
He is survived by : his children, Margaret Gambrell Zomorodi (Ali) of Raleigh, NC and Chad Gambrell (Hannah) of Charlotte, NC; and his brother Larry Gambrell. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
