She was predeceased by: her parents, William Burdette and Nellie Poole Burdette of Boyds; and her siblings, Melvin, James, William Burdette, Jr., Peggy Fitzwater Davis, Dorothy Savage McHugh, Eleanor Frank and Doris Carter.
She is survived by: her husband George "Dougie" Heffner of Dickerson; her son Glen H. Tolson, Jr.; her daughter-in-law Sue Tolson; and her granddaughters, Kristin Converse and Terri Morton. She is also survived by three great grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
