She was predeceased by : her parents, Vance Hewett and Blanche Hewett; her husband James H. Duncan; her son John L. Galloway; and her brothers, Danny, Rozel, Billy, Thomas and Edward Hewett.

She is survived by : her children, Debra White (Bruce) of Bolivia, NC, Diana Thornton of Marion, SC, Allen Galloway (Lisa) of Indianapolis, IN and Daniel Duncan (Melissa) of Bolivia, NC; and her sister Linda Tripp of Supply, NC. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
