She was predeceased by: her parents, William Charles Thornton and Shelba Oates Thornton; and her sister Charlene "Honey" Thornton. She is survived by: her siblings, Clint Thornton of Teachy, NC and Tereisa Morris of Caldenoia; and her friend McChiesh of Supply. She is also survived by animals.
