It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Trivette Morsette of Boone, North Carolina, who passed away on March 18, 2023, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her father Harvey L. Trivette; her brother Allen Trivette; and her great grandchild Jayce Morsette. She is survived by : her children, Christy Walker (Eric) of Boone and Jason Morsette (Amy) of Mountain City, TN.; her brothers, Mike Trivette (Brenda) of Boone and Danny Trivette (Bonnie) of Oak Island, NC; her sister-in-law Jane Trivette of Boone; her grandchildren, Shelby Hayes (Lucas) of Boone, Taylor Walker of Charlotte, NC, Autumn Lunceford of Boone, Lillian Morsette of Boone, Bryce Walker of Boone, Caden Morsette of Boone and Tristan Morsette of Boone; and her great grandchildren, Cooper Hayes of Boone, Addilyn and Maizleigh Morsette of Boone.

“Christy and Jason, It is with a heavy heart that I write this. Please know that you are in my thoughts. Dottie and I grew very close over the ten years I worked in Banner Elk, while she was at Lowe’s and the corner store at New Market. May she be at peace, and in you two as well. So many memories growing up of John and Jason, never a dull moment. This always made your momma laugh- to revisit those times. Love and light.”
