It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Mason Carlson of Boone, North Carolina, who passed away on November 3, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jewell Mason and Ada Marlowe Mason; and her son Steven Marc Carlson. She is survived by: her husband Marc Carlson of Boone; her children, Sandi Butler (Steve) of Salado, Monica Rose of Boone and Robert Carlson (Jaime) of Johnson City, Tennessee; her grandchildren, Erin Sneed (Matt) of Rogers, Texas, Cody Trivette of Shelby, Chelsea Smith of Mechanicsville, Virginia, Jacob Trivette (Kamille) of Lenoir and Jonathan Butler of McCordsville, Indiana; and her great grandchildren, Isabelle Sneed, TJ Trivette, Bronc Sneed, Elias Smith, Aiden Trivette, Addlyn Smith, Taggart Sneed and Shepherd Trivette.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Lexington Cemetery (833 W Main St, Lexington, KY 40508).
