In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Gillus Varner leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Gillus Varner may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his former wife Patsy Long Stinson; and his sister Aladene Norman. He is survived by: his wife Sarah Colvard Hunter Stinson; his children, Bryan Stinson (Cheryl), Neal Stinson (Amy) and April Stinson Johnson (Don); his stepson Derrick J. Hunter (Johnnie); and his grandsons, Austin Stinson (Megan), Daniel Stinson and Evan Stinson (Tori).
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Baptist Church (1500 Charity Church Rd, Boonville, NC 27011).
In lieu of flowers the family request donations are made to Pfafftown Baptist Church.
