He is survived by : his wife Mattie Vestal Kimmer; his children, Lennette Kimmer Smith (Jerry I. Smith, Jr.) and Tracy Kimmer (Natalie H. Kimmer); his grandchildren, Sheryl Ashley, Jerry I. Smith III, Nikki Smith, Tyler Kimmer, Luke Kimmer and Ryan Kimmer; and his sisters-in-law, Bonnie Reynolds and Frances Vestal.
