He was predeceased by: his brother Ralph; and his parents, Kenneth Lampert and Meredith Lampert. He is survived by: his wife Betsy Culpepper; his children, Doug Lampert (Sharon), Mike Lampert (Wendy), Jon Lampert (Tian), Sue Miller (Jerry) and Kristin Lampert; and his stepdaughter Hannah Tvedten. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
