He was predeceased by : his parents, Orvin Lester and Ruby McKelvin (Head) of Brevard, NC.; his brother James McKelvin (Jimmy); and his significant other Dorothy McKelvin (Owen). He is survived by : his daughters, Sherri McKelvin of Lexington, SC and Kim Griffis of Etowah, NC; his grandchildren, Alyson Beaulieu (Jason) of Lexington, SC, Brent Shipman (Kaleigh Stovall) of Charlotte, NC and Kaidence of Etowah, NC; and his great grandchildren, Kyrra, Gracie and Mya of Lexington, SC..
